The temple stands on a low platform with four wide, shallow steps, each far deeper and taller than any human stair, so that the door reads as a giant's doorway. Above the steps a pointed arch frames a dark, recessed doorway, its moulded surround carved with diamond motifs and interlocking geometric bands. Heavy, chunky columns of blue-white ice stand at the front and corners, each one a broad faceted block rather than a slender classical shaft, with simple stepped capitals and bases. Between the columns the walls are faced with irregular ice panels. Across the top, a frieze of raised spiral rosettes runs under a deep cornice, and the low pitched roof rises to a triangular pediment left as a solid mass of ice. A thick cap of matte snow sits on the pediment and roof edges, and the ice faceting catches light in pale blue and white. Snowdrifts pile around the base of the temple and spill down the sides of the podium, softening the stepped edges. The lowest courses of the podium show pale marble, with the ice rising above it. The whole piece is a solid, chunky block with an abstract, ornamented character, suited to frozen wastes, giant-kin sites, or a holy place on a winter battlefield. Printing is straightforward: a broad flat base, deep steps that print well, and a pitched roof that will need supports under its overhanging cornice and the snowdrift edges.
