Concept picture · not a photo of a printAt 28 mm: 33 mm (1.3 in) tall · 45 × 45 mm footprintThis miniature is a giant spider boss monster, a heavy gothic arachnid caught mid-stride with its jaws gaping wide. The body is built from a ridged, plated abdomen rising high behind a broad, knobbed head. The head carries a cluster of rounded bumps across its brow and a pair of thick, solid chelicerae that open to reveal long, curved fangs. Each leg is articulated with heavy armoured plates at every joint, the segments thick and layered like plate armour, and the front legs reach down toward the ground with the tarsi pressing into the rubble. The knees are shaped to suggest weight and purpose, and the legs spread outward to give the figure a wide, menacing stance. The surface is deeply textured, with ridges and folds across the abdomen and knuckled plating along the limbs, while the base is a mound of cracked flagstones, broken rubble, and thick skulls and ribs pressed into the ground. The figure is shown in a worn, grim condition, with the bone-strewn base reinforcing its predatory, ruined setting. It suits fantasy RPG encounters, dungeon boss fights, and grimdark skirmish games as a centrepiece monster. For printing, the wide, splayed legs and the open fangs will need supports, and the fine rubble and bone details on the base benefit from a resin printer. The round base is flat and stable, making it easy to mount and paint.
