Concept picture · not a photo of a printAt 28 mm: 120 mm (4.7 in) tall · 224 × 145 mm footprintA broad terrain piece showing a wide wall of pale blue glacial ice with a heavy iron gate set into its centre. The ice rises in thick, vertical buttresses, stacked and rounded, with frost cracks running through the faces and long icicles hanging from the upper courses. Soft blue tints show through the translucent-looking surface, and the ice seems to have grown up out of the ground and curled around the gate. The gate is a solid construction of blackened iron slabs bolted together, not an ornamental grille. Its double doors are riveted plate blocks with bolt heads, sealed and forbidding, with a rounded arch above and a pointed gable carrying a finial. Iron pillars frame the opening on either side. Angular runic marks are cut into the door panels. There are no chains. The gate stands about half the height of the ice wall, so it reads as small against the surrounding mass. Snow lies over the ledges and the base. Broad low steps and frost-cracked ice run out across the ground in front of the opening. Scattered around the base are a small iron cauldron, loose stones, a dark ice-shard, and a few tufts of dry grass. The piece is wide enough for a caravan to pass through the doors. It suits fantasy RPG and grimdark terrain tables as a sealed passage or a frozen boundary. Printing it means a flat, broad base, thick iron elements that hold up well, and fine frost detail on the ice faces that may need careful supports on the overhanging icicles.
